Pallet board
Salida is acting as: Seller.
Pallets we bring to our facility and sell to produce merchants, a few at a time. Reserve what you need, inspect at our dock, load on your truck, and we invoice your firm.
The pallet board opens soon.
We can't find that lot
It may be fully reserved or no longer listed. The lots on the board are above.
How reservations work
Reserve. Pick a lot and the pallets you want before its reserve-by time. A reservation holds them for your firm on the terms shown. It becomes a sale only after you inspect and load at our dock.
We confirm. When the truck is booked, we confirm your pallets and tell you the expected arrival window. If a lot does not fill, we cancel it and nothing is owed.
Pick up at our dock. Your driver inspects the pallets before loading and signs the release record on our phone. Once loaded, your acceptance is final.
We invoice your firm. The invoice carries the PACA trust statement and your firm's payment terms. We never take cash at the dock.
What the price includes
The price per case and per pallet on each card includes the freight to our facility and our handling. There is no separate charge to pick up at our dock.
Where a USDA Market News reference is shown, it is the report's "mostly" price for that pack on that date, for reference only; our price reflects condition and handling.
Inspection and terms
You buy these pallets from Salida Produce. Your driver may inspect them at our dock before loading. Once they are loaded on your truck and the release record is signed, your acceptance is final and Salida makes no later price change; payment is due on the terms shown and the PACA trust applies.
Please keep labels and lot codes on the cases. We record them for traceability.
Questions
Who am I buying from?
From Salida Produce. Salida owns the pallets on the board, sells them to your firm and invoices your firm. This is not a brokered sale.
Can I look before I load?
Yes. Your driver inspects at our dock before loading. Once the pallets are loaded and the release record is signed, acceptance is final.
What are the payment terms?
Pallet sales are subject to PACA's prompt-payment rules. Unless other payment terms are agreed in writing before the sale, payment is due within 10 days after the day the produce is accepted. Cash sale: payment within 24 hours of acceptance.
Your firm's terms with Salida show on the reservation and on the invoice. If your firm pays before release, we send the invoice first and release the pallets once payment is received.
What if a lot does not fill?
We book the truck only when enough pallets are reserved. If a lot does not fill, we cancel it, tell every firm that reserved, and nothing is owed.
