Our target
We build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. It is made for a phone held in a cold building at night, often with gloves on and one hand free.
What we do
- Text and controls meet AA contrast in both the light theme and dock mode, the dark theme. The site follows your phone's setting, and the Dock mode button switches it.
- Every button, and every link outside running text, is at least 48 by 48 pixels; the main buttons are 56 pixels tall.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus ring, a skip link and real headings and landmarks.
- Pages respect reduced motion, higher contrast and forced colors settings, and work at 200% zoom and 320 pixels wide.
- Every page is available in English and Spanish, and mixed-language phrases are marked so screen readers pronounce them correctly.
- The pages work without JavaScript.
Known gaps
- Photos that merchants upload carry a generic description ("Photo 2 of 4 of your load"), not a description of the product.
